Artist Biography:
CJ Kerinauia is an artist with 20 years of arts practice in ceramics, sculpture, painting. CJ has participated in at least 20 art exhibitions (in both commercial & public galleries)since 1999. He has twice had work selected for the prestigious National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Art Awards and was the recipient of the Wandjuk Marika 3D Memorial Award at the 16th Annual NATSIAA in
1999.
In 2007 his work was shown in the "Sculpture and Object Functional Art" exhibition at the Jam Factory in Chicago, USA. CJ's work is featured in several important collections including the Linden Museum of Stuttgart, Germany; National Museum of Ethnography,Osaka, Japan; National Museum of Australia, Art Gallery of South Australia and the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory.
